Whittington Center

In June of this year, I traveled to the NRA Whittington Center near Raton, New Mexico to try out my 6.5 Grendel. Last year I bought a barrel, bolt assembly and Upper Receiver from Alexander Arms. I assembled it into the rifle you see in the picture. The scope is a Millet TRS 6x14. Upon arriving at the Sight-In range, I found that I had left all of my ammunition at home, with the exception of one 10 round magazine loaded with AA Factory Ammo with a123gr Lapua bullet. With nothing to loose I sighted the Grendel in at 200 yards with 6 of the rounds and then moved to the High Power Range to shoot the famous "White Buffalo". I hit the "Gong" on shots 1,2 and 4, but missed on... 3 cause I held too much windage. I'll be back next summer and this time I will bring plenty of ammo. If you haven't been to the Whittington Center, go, because it is a fantastic place to shoot and visit.
